Edward Ngoyayi Lowassa (born 1953) is the current Prime Minister of Tanzania. He took office on December 30, 2005. Lowassa has an extensive background in both parliament issues and government affairs.

Education
Lowassa received both Undergraduate and Masters Degree from The University of Bath in UK. His area of study was Development Studies.
